For 7 – 11 years, this builds on basic knowledge and understanding of the road environment enabling children to estimate risks in order to make safer decisions, (produced by Cornwall County Council 1994).

Contains different scenarios on cycling safety, wearing bright clothes, safety within a car and pedestrian safety with Junior Road Safety Officers. Downloadable worksheets are available to print off from the DVD.

Rural Road Safety: A Resource for KS1 and 2

The story follows a brother and sister on their trip to the park focusing on road safety issues that occur along the way, (produced by Lancashire County Council 2000).

Raises awareness about the dangers on the road through text written in a range of styles, including newspaper reports and magazine articles, (produced by Sandwell MBC 2000).

Demonstration Bicycle Helmet

A small expanded polystyrene bicycle helmet which can be used with an egg to demonstrate to pupils why it is important to always wear a bicycle helmet.

A set of A5 cards showing road signs with definitions on the back.

Reflective pack

Contains reflective armbands, a cycle arm reflector, a Sam Browne belt, and strips and stickers to help

illustrate the value of wearing reflective items in the dark.
