Parent is responsible for their students’ transportation to and from tutoring.
Student Program Goals are to:
- Improve academic achievement in all core classes
- Unit recovery through Plato
Student Program Guidelines and Information:
- Morning sessions: Monday –Friday from 8am to 9am
- Afternoon sessions: Monday – Friday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, prompt pick up is required.
- Students can and will be removed from the program for lack of attendance (regular attendance is required to retain your spotin the program) or behavioral problems (behavioral expectations are the same as for the normal school day)
- If enrollment requests exceed the available slots, some students will be placed on a waiting list until an open slot becomes available
- Priority placement is based upon teacher recommendation

Tutoring Program

Attendance
Students are expected to attend on a regular basis. Failure to maintain attendancerequirements will result in termination from the program.
Behavior
The before and after school program discipline policies align with MarionCounty Public Schools’ Code of Student Conduct. Behavior policies expectedduring the regular school day will carry over to the program. Studentsmust comply with district, school, and classroom policies. Dangerous, unsafe, orfrequent misbehaviors will not be tolerated and will result in immediate dismissalfrom the program.
Student Termination
Students will be removed from the program if any of the followingbehaviors are observed: regular and excessive absences/tardiness, behavior thatthreatens physical or emotional safety of others, or at the written request of aparent/guardian.
Hours of Operation
The program will be held during 2 sessions, one in the morning before school starts (8am – 9am) and an afternoon session immediately following dismissal (3:30 to 4:30pm) Monday through Friday except for days theschool is closed and half days. Students only have to attend one session or the other, switching sessions is not allowed.
Student Drop-Off/Pick-up
Students participating will be dropped off and picked up on time. Supervision will not be available until the start time or the end time of the program. Dropping students off early or picking up them up late will result in dismissal from the program after the first offense.
Follow School-Day Rules and Policies
Students must display respect and coordination with all program staff, teachers, volunteers and other students at all times.
