Frederick Community College – Credit Conversion for FEMA IS Courses
Frederick Community College (FCC), through an exclusive contract with the FEMA-Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Independent Study Program, allows students to convert their IS courses taken from FEMA into college credit at FCC. The students’ converted credit will be available on an official FCC transcript which can then be applied toward promotion opportunities, performance appraisals, and career enhancement. Students may also transfer their college credits to other colleges and universities. Courses generally transfer as open elective credit.*The converted college credit will be awarded the grade of “P”. If the student requires a GPA on their transcript, grades can be obtained through the AAS, Cert and LOR program. For more information on converting your FEMA-EMI IS course into college credit, please visit our website at http://em-study.com/emsfema/ and click on the “How to Apply” link.
