FRATERNAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS

INDIVIDUAL RECOGNITION APPLICATIONS

PURPOSE

The individual recognition awards are designed to recognize outstanding chapter members, volunteers, advocates and programs of the Greek community. These awards are a celebration of the Greek community, its accomplishments and its importance to the university. Each award shows how individuals and chapters promote and foster the values of our community on a daily basis.

APPLICATIONS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO

THE OFFICE OF GREEK AFFAIRS (214 K-STATE STUDENT UNION)

BY FRIDAY, MARCH 7TH AT 5:00 PM.

AWARDS

Awards will be given in this category to individuals who exemplify the ideals of fraternity and sorority membership. Awards for individual recognition are as follows:

· Chapter Advisor of the Year

· Faculty/Staff Advisor of the Year

· Outstanding Greek Supporter

· House Director of the Year

· Outstanding Chapter President

· Outstanding Chapter Member

· Greek Man & Greek Woman of the Year

There is no limit to how many nominations may be submitted by a chapter for an award.

All chapter nominations do not need to be submitted together. Each individual application form details what needs to be submitted by the nominator.

CHAPTER ADVISOR OF THE YEAR

Purpose of Award - This award recognizes an advisor that has made a significant positive impact on the chapter through their continued service and involvement. This individual has shown dedication to the chapter at K-State and has made a significant contribution to the individual growth and betterment of members.

FACULTY/STAFF ADVISOR OF THE YEAR

Purpose of Award – A faculty/staff advisor is a K-State faculty/staff member who serves as a campus liaison and connection for the chapter. This person does not need to be a member of the organization and does not have to serve as the chapter advisor. This award recognizes a faculty/staff advisor that has

made a significant positive impact on the chapter as a mentor. Through his/her work at K-State and with the chapter, he/she has connected the chapter with the campus and worked to aid in the individual growth and betterment of members.
