Frank L. Bowser School Hot Lunch Program 2017-2018

We are very excited to offerour Hot Lunch program again this year.Hot Lunch service will commence on Wednesday, September 20thfor the 2017-2018 school year. We will be serving a Chicken Popper Meal on Mondays, a Deli Sandwich on Wednesdays and Pizza on Thursdays. Papa John's and Subway are on the ASD-E list as approved hot lunch suppliers. All of their products are low in fat and have no fillers, additives, preservatives, msg or trans-fats.

MondaysChicken Popper Meal: ONLY ONE SIZE OPTION - LARGE TICKET

- 5 Chicken poppers: 100% white chicken breast

- 1 garlic parmesan breadstick

-250ml milk 1% (white or chocolate)

-fresh fruit

Wednesdays Subway Deli Meal: ONLY ONE SIZE OPTION - LARGE TICKET

- ham and cheese deli bun withoption of mustard, mayo, tomato andcucumber

- 250ml milk 1% (white or chocolate)

- fresh fruit

Thursdays PizzaSmall Meal: - 1 slice of pizza with 100% beef topping and 100% mozzarella cheese

- 250ml milk 1% (white or chocolate)

- fresh fruit

PizzaLarge Meal: - 2 slices of pizza with 100% beef topping and 100% mozzarella cheese

- 250ml milk 1% (white or chocolate)

At Frank L. Bowser School a ticket system is used to purchase Hot Lunch.

Small tickets cost $3.50each or $35.00 per sheet.

Large tickets cost $4.25 each or $42.50 per sheet.

The method of payment for Hot Lunch tickets is through School Cash online. The online purchase should be made no later than 6:00 p.m. onMondays. Your orders will be processedon Tuesday mornings and tickets will be sent home in an envelope with your child on Tuesdays.

Step 3: After you receive the confirmation email, please select the ‘click here’ option, sign in and add each of your children to your household account.

If you are having trouble registering on-line, call the school and we can assist you.

If you mustpurchase with cash, Hot Lunch tickets will be on sale during Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday September 14th, at Parent/Teacher Nights and at other designated evening events throughout the year. It is important to note that we do not accept cheques at Frank L. Bowser School. Also, if you need to purchase ticket with cash on a weekly basis, send your child’s order in on Tuesdays with their name, grade, class and detailed order information.

Frank L. Bowser’s Milk Program. Milk is available every day at lunch for .50 cents (1% white or chocolate milk). Students can buy milk on a daily basis or youcan use the online payment option to purchase a sheet of ten tickets for $5.00.

A few suggestions:

  • Write your child’s name and class on each ticket and have an agreed upon safe place (in their book bag, agenda pouch, lunch box) for the ticket on Hot Lunch days.
  • Try to have a few extra tickets on hand. When you notice that you only have a few tickets left, that's the best time to place your order online so you are sure to have tickets on Hot Lunch day. If you have tickets left over at the end of the year, they can be carried forward to the next year. Grade 5 students can be reimbursed for unused tickets at the end of the year.
  • Our Hot Lunch order is placed early in the morning. If your child will be late for school on a hot lunch day, you can help by calling the main office (856-3450) and leaving a message stating your child’s name, class and either small or large order.

If your child is intolerant or has an allergy to milk, a written note must be sent in to the office and your child will be provided a bottle of water instead of milk for the year. Please note that this option is only for those that have an intolerance or an allergy to milk
