Greetings Friends and Family,
Don't blink now or you'll miss it!!! It's about that time to start
preparing for the 2017 GMSAAI reunion, sure to be full of
entertainment, fun, frivolity, food, and fellowship. Here's what you
will need to know.
The dates will be August 4-6 2017. We will be residing at the
luxurious Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh Crabtree Valley, located
at 5400 Homewood Banks Drive in Raleigh. Check in will be 3:00 PM and
check out will be no later than noon on Sunday.
We have reserved 50 rooms--30 king and 20 doubles. Our rates are $99
per night for kings with 12.75 tax or $223.25 for the weekend and $119
for the doubles or $268.35 for the same period. A hot breakfast
buffet is included in this rate.
Rooms are currently available for booking. However, once these 50
rooms are booked and/or after July 14, the room rates will resort back
to the going rate which is twice the amount we are paying.
I know some of you are saying hmm!!! These prices seem a tad high.
Normally, you would be right, but don't worry. We've got you covered.
The hotel has graciously consented to a blind friendly pay as you go
plan. Here's how it works.
You can contact central reservations at (800) 225-5466 to speak to a
representative and book your room, or you can travel over to
book your reservation via the web. Once you
have secured a reservation, you can commence payments.
You can make payments in two ways. Of course, you can do it the
traditional way by calling and reserving a room and paying in full
upon arrival. What we suggest for those of you unable to do that is
this:
Fill out a credit card authorization form, which gives Kelsey
Stafford, Sales and Services Coordinator, authority to make drafts on
your behalf. She is the only person authorized to do so. You will
not be able to do this when contacting central reservations. If you
wish to contact her by phone, to make payments, her number is (919)
785-3489. If you are so inclined to upload your authorization form,
Kelsey's email address . An initial
deposit of $10 or more is required and must be mailed along with your
completed credit card authorization form to the address listed earlier
in this letter. Make money orders payable to the Homewood Suites Crabtree Valley. No checks please. After your initial $10 deposit, you are free to pay
any amount you desire until your room is paid, or you can pay the
remainder on the day of arrival. It is important to note that when
contacting Kelsey to make payments, you must provide your confirmation
number as she will not have access to it. Therefore, please make a
concerted effort to write this number down or recite it to your voice
recorders to avoid mass confusion.
The cancellation policy is fairly standard. You must cancel by 3:00
PM on August 3, or 24 hours before check in without penalty. Any
monies applied to your card in advance will be fully refunded.
Cancellations made within the 24 hour period or after 3:00 PM on
Thursday, August 3, will result in a one night's stay charge plus the
applicable tax of 12.75%.
Registration fees are $65 for members and $70 for nonmembers. After
July 14, there will be an additional $10 added to these totals. All
checks or money orders should be made payable to GMSAAI and mailed
along with your registration form to Frances Council at the address
listed at the top of this document. All registration fees are nonrefundable unless
approved by the committee chairperson.
We are hoping to increase participation by presenting a 70s themed
reunion. With this being said, there are still many activities,
details, and ideas to be ironed out. Don't forget our ever-evolving
talent show will be back for yet another year. If you're interested

Continuing with the theme of the reunion, we will be hosting a 70's
best dressed contest along with a dance contest for both male and
female participants. So, come get your hustle on.
Finally, on Sunday morning, we will pause and have a prayer service
and memorial to give thanks and to remember those we may have lost.
Get ready to participate in our activities and maybe even win a prize.

School Alumni Association reunion.
Enclosed you will find your credit card authorization form and your
membership and registration application. If you need assistance in
filling out your registration and application forms, contact Frances
Council. She will not assist with the credit card authorization form
as that is proprietary information.
