The Draftsperson will work closely with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing and Quality Control to create internal drawings and control both internal and customer supplied drawings.

The ideal candidate has excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills related to graphic design and the ability to work within time constraints to meet deadlines.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Diploma/degree in a related field
  • 2 years of previous experience in AutoCAD and/or Inventor
  • Knowledge of Vernier calipers and other small measurement devices is required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills, and detail oriented
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work well under pressure

Primary Responsibilities:

Drafting

  • Develop & revise detailed seal design drawings using computer-assisted drafting software.
  • Control of internal and customer supplied drawings.
  • Link drawings to part numbers.

Quality Control

  • Utilize lab equipment to inspect product as part of the sample inspection report (SIR) process, to assist with positive material identification (PMI) reports, and other random inspections.
General
  • Participate in worksite hazard assessments, incident investigation, safety meetings, safety training and other aspects of the Hi-Tech Seals Inc. safety and quality control programs as required
