FORTY-FOURTH HOUSE DISTRICT

Forty-fourth. Part of Fairfax County comprised of the Bucknell (604), Fairfield (413), Fort Hunt (605), Groveton (405), Hollin Hall (606), Kirkside (608), Marlan (609), Sherwood (610), Stratford (611), Waynewood (612), Whitman (614), Woodlawn (627), and Woodley (615) Precincts and parts of the Belle Haven (601), Belvoir (619), and Hayfield (406) Precincts.

Precincts shall be interpreted to refer to those in existence on April 1, 2011, and as reported by the United States Bureau of the Census in the 2010 Census reports provided pursuant to United States Public Law 94-171, notwithstanding subsequent changes made by localities.

The following descriptions are provided for information purposes only pursuant to § 30-264 of the Code of Virginia. The provisions of § 24.2-304.03 of the Code of Virginia, including the statistical report referenced in and on file with the Clerk of the House of Delegates, shall be controlling in any legal determination of the district boundary.

A. Part of Fairfax County contained within a line described as follows:

  1. Beginning at the point where Mason Run intersects Richmond Highway (United States Highway 1)
  1. northeast on Mason Run to Backlick Road
  1. southeast on Backlick Road Beulah Street (State Route 613)
  1. north on Beulah Street to Telegraph Road (State Route 611)
  1. northeast on Telegraph Road to Dogue Creek
  1. south on Dogue Creek to a Virginia Power line at the terminus of John J. Kingman Road
  1. northeast on said power line to the eastern boundary of Huntley Meadows Park, the power line and park boundary being the southern and eastern boundary of census block 510594213002005
  1. north on said park boundary to Lockheed Boulevard
  1. west on Lockheed Boulevard to Harrison Lane (State Route 723)
  1. north on Harrison Lane to South Kings Highway (State Route 633)
  1. northeast on South Kings Highway to its junction with North Kings Highway
  1. east from said junction on an access road to Richmond Highway (United States Highway 1)
  1. northeast on Richmond Highway to Huntington Avenue
  1. southeast on Huntington Avenue to a tributary of Hunting Creek, said tributary being the northwest boundary of census block 510594151001003
  1. southwest on said tributary to an extension of Belfield Road
  1. southeast on said extension and then on Belfield Road to Woodmont Road
  1. southwest on Woodmont Road to Vernon Terrace
  1. southeast on Vernon Terrace to Hunting Cove Place
  1. east on Hunting Cove Place to Fort Hunt Road (State Route 629)
  1. south on Fort Hunt Road to a point approximately 110 feet south of its intersection with Belle View Boulevard
  1. east on a straight line approximately 65 feet to an unnamed tributary of Potomac River, said line and tributary being the northern boundary of census block 510594152001003
  1. southeast on said tributary to George Washington Memorial Parkway (State Highway 400)
  1. south on the northern bank of said tributary approximately 70 feet to a point
  1. east in a straight line, the southern boundary of census block 510594152004012 and 510594152004013, to the Potomac River, being the Maryland-Virginia State Line and the boundary of Fairfax County
  1. south and west on the Fairfax County boundary to the point where Little Hunting Creek empties into the Potomac River
  1. north on Little Hunting Creek approximately 50 feet to George Washington Memorial Parkway (State Highway 400)
  1. northwest and then southwest on George Washington Memorial Parkway to Mount Vernon Memorial Highway (State Highway 235)
  1. northwest and then southwest on Mount Vernon Memorial Highway to Old Mill Road
  1. northwest on Old Mill Road to Lukens Lane
  1. northwest on Lukens Lane to Richmond Highway
  1. south on Richmond Highway to Mason Run, the point of beginning
