In pursuance of the gadget notification No. G.S.R. 311 (E) of 20th April,2012 of Entry of Ships into Ports, Anchorages and Offshore Facilities), following requirements may please be noted:
a). The owners of Foreign Flag Vessels desirous of entering into Indian Waters will be required to
furnish a declaration as per attached format at least 48 hrs. before the arrival of the vessel into the Indian Waters.
b). Present system of submission of documents with HDC/KoPT, including declaration in PCS will
continue.
c). Notification above will supplement the prevailing rules/ circulars in force.

FORMAT OF DECLARATION BY OWNERS/ OPERATORS TO BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE SHIPPING AGENTS
(Ref. Merchant Shipping Rules,2012 regarding Entry of ships into ports, anchorages
and offshore facilities within Indian Waters)
We, M/s …………………………………………. , owners/ charterers of M.V. ……………………………… hereby appoint M/s …………………………………as the shipping agent for this vessel. The appointment is valid from the time the vessel enters Indian Coastal Waters and shall remain valid till the vessel leaves the Indian Coastal Waters. We also confirm that the vessel complies with the requirements of Gadget Notification of the Ministry of Shipping No. G.S.R. 311(E) of 20th April, 2012 regarding Entry of Ships into Ports, Anchorages and Offshore Facilities within Indian Waters. Documentary evidences of compliance of above are enclosed herewith.
We further declare that the certificates submitted herewith are true and correct to the best of knowledge.
