DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):

The candidate for the position of assistant should have scientific achievementsas well as teaching experience belonging to the discipline of chemistry.A person hired on the position of assistant will fulfill teaching tasks (independently conducting lectures, tutorials and laboratories) in the field of theoretical chemistry, quantum chemistry, physical chemistry.In terms of scientific and research tasks, this person will be responsible for simulations of organic functional material’s properties molecular modeling, correlations of calculated molecular parameters with macroscopic soft matter properties especially of mesomorphic type.The candidate should have knowledge and experience in the subject mentioned above confirmed by publication from the MNiSW A-list as well as experience in teaching.

Admission requirements:

Master of Science or doctoral degree in chemistry;

recognizable scientific achievements (at least 10 publicationsfrom the MNiSW A-list, the h-index should be at least 3-4);

previous scientific activity inthe field of quantum chemistry, molecular modeling;

knowledge of typical numerical software e.g. Gaussian, ADF, Scigrees etc.;

experience in teaching in the field of analytical chemistryor physical chemistry or theoretical chemistry;

intermediatein written and spoken English.

The competition application should include:

  • a declaration of no charges within a final judgment of a deliberate crime;
  • a declaration of no charges within the disciplinary procedure of the deprivation of rights to practice the profession of academic teacher on a permanent or fixed term basis/contract;
  • a declaration on the full use of civil rights;
  • a declaration stating whether MUT is the core or non-core workplace for the applicant.
