JAPAN

Japan is not a big country, but it is very crowded. Its population is 124 million. The capital city of Japan is Tokyo. Other big cities are Osaka, Kyoto, Kawasaki, Yokohama, Kobe, Hiroshima and Akita.

Japanese cars and electronic devices are very famous. Everybody knows Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi cars. Millions of people use Sony, Toshiba, Sanyo, Hitachi electronic devices.

Japanese food is also famous. There are many Japanese restaurants all around the world. Sushi, noodles, and Yakito are some traditional Japanese dishes.

Travelling is very important in Japan. People generally travel by subway or train. There is a wonderful subway system all around the country. Railway transportation is very fast, too. The new train “shinkansen” can travel at 300 km/hour.

Japanese people are very polite and friendly. They are very hardworking, too. Japanese children must study very hard at school because the education in Japan is very difficult. They have a different alphabet.

Japanese people like sports. Golf, soccer and baseball are very popular in Japan. Sumo wrestling is a traditional Japanese sport. Sumo wrestlers are very fat and strong. They earn a lot of money and they are very important in society.
