Classroom News

Reading: Please refer to the Home Parent Letter and Focus Wall for “Ah, Music!” in your child’s LA section of their binder for details regarding this lesson’s reading and writing instruction focus. 

Social Studies: This week we will discuss producers of crops and goods, and consumers. We’ll also learn about natural resources; what they are, why they are important, and how we can take care of them. 

Miscellaneous: Did you know that Ms. Reehling's class is joining Scholastic Books for their Annual Pajama Drive? While you are shopping over the weekend, please consider purchasing or donating a pair of new pajamas to the Pajama Drive. The drive ends Thursday, December 15th. Your donations will help some local families in need. New Pajamas in all sizes are needed, from newborn to adult. 

Please considering purchasing a Save Around Coupon Book to raise funds for Home and School Activities and Events. The cost for each book is $25. Each coupon book offers more than $7,500 in total savings! The books were sent home last week. If you would like to buy an additional book, just let me know. They make great gifts! If you aren't able to purchase one, consider asking a family member or friend! Please return any unwanted books. 

Please consider making a monetary contribution to the Giving Tree, a program to help Walton Farm families in need during the holidays. These families have been identified confidentially. With every $5 donation received, a paper ornament on the Christmas tree in our school lobby will be changed to a special Christmas ornament. The children will see the tree transform as families “give” to help others at the holidays. The deadline is onWednesday, December 14th! 
