Warren Barn Kit List

For the teachers/group leaders:

·  Food and drink (We can provide breakfast materials for £1 per head per day, the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, we can provide a suggested menu and detailed shopping list )

·  Tea-towels (we provide all other cleaning equipment and loo rolls)

·  First Aid Kit

·  Simple games equipment (bat and balls etc.)

·  Leaders Mobile Phone (plus charger!)

·  Contact details and medical forms of children

·  Tea, coffee, sugar, milk plus drinks for kids eg squash

·  Puddings / cakes (we don’t supply these! – schools often get parents to provide a cake/ cakes or treat box for their child to bring)

·  Kindling and matches for wood burner and camp fire (camp fire and/or barbeque is used at your own risk – you need to include it in your own activity risk assessment). We provide 1 basket of split logs for the woodburner , further wood is available at £3.50 per basket from the ranger that signs you in (or bring your own).

·  Folding camp chairs for the adults are a good idea in the summer (there are long benches to sit on downstairs and 4 stools. Outside are benches around the camp fire circle & 2 picnic tables)

·  Laptop and speakers - so you can use the digital projector and screen to show a film etc (if relevant) and USB to USB cable if you have a tablet or modern device!

·  Emergency money for taxis if no staff car.

Suggested Kid’s (and adults personal) Kit list:

·  Packed lunch container and reusable water bottle

·  Changes of clothes (not best) and underwear (outside clothes as well as indoor ones)

·  Sleeping bag (We have 18 sleeping bags with liners that you can hire £3 each/week)

·  Fitted single sheet

·  Pillow

·  Wellies or waterproof walking boots

·  Old trainers

·  Indoor shoes/slippers

·  Warm coat, woolly hat, gloves, scarf, sun hat, sun cream (Depending on season)

·  Waterproofs

·  Small day rucksack

·  Torch

·  Towel and wash stuff

·  Pocket money -if your school wishes to visit a shop during your stay eg for ice cream

·  PLEASE TELL PARENTS TO LABEL ALL THEIR CHILD’S BELONGINGS

·  KIT FOR REACH OUTDOORS WATER ACTIVITIES (if relevant):

Old trainers to wear in the sea (wetsuit shoes often come off/are a bit flimsy)

Old shorts to wear over the top of the borrowed wetsuit and Swimwear for underneath wetsuit
