1.2  SUBMITTALS

.1  Indicate size and description of components, base material, surface finish inside and out, hardware and locks, attachment devices, description of rough-in-frame.

1.3  CLOSEOUT SUBMITTALS

.1  Provide maintenance data for gymnasium equipment for incorporation into maintenance manual specified in Section 01 78 00 - Closeout Submittals.

Part 2  PRODUCTS

2.1  COMPONENTS

.1  Floor Socket: Bronze floor socket 49 mm inside diameter x 165 mm long with flanged end to receive hand operated bronze cover socket to be capable of receiving 48 mm diameter volley ball post. Number of sockets to suit gymnasium floor layout and to suit floor construction.

.2  Volley Ball Package: 48 mm diameter by 2.78 m high by 3 mm wall thickness cadmium plated tubular steel volley ball posts with height adjustment pulleys and winches. Volley ball net to be manufactured from 2.5 mm dia. string with 102 mm square mesh and with white nylon band on top, bottom and sides. Number of posts and nets to suit gymnasium floor layout.

.3  Basketball Wall Structure (Storage): Basketball structure to be a forward swing down wall or ceiling mounted unit and to be constructed of 48 mm diameter x 3 mm wall thickness tubular steel with all welded joints. Backboard to be fan shaped, steel construction with goal and net. Structure to be operated by a manual winch with auto lock safety feature. Number of units required to suit gymnasium floor layout.

.4  Badminton Package: Badminton package shall consist of standard cadmium plated posts and nylon net. Number of posts and nets to suit gymnasium floor layout.

.5  Trophy Case: Trophy case to be 1200 mm high by 1500 mm wide by 300 mm deep fabricated from 109 mm oak veneer plywood ends, top, bottom and back with 2 sliding glass doors in sliding glass track complete with lock. Provide two adjustable glass shelves inside. Construct case in accordance with Section 06 40 00 - Architectural Woodwork. Quantity as indicated on drawings.

Part 3  EXECUTION

3.1  COMMISSIONING

.1  Install component in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.

.2  Train user staff in operation and maintenance of above equipment.
