Eighth-Annual Quilt Expo Presents Exceptional Event for Quilt Enthusiasts

Quilt Expo — 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 6-8 in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison — provides inspiration, education, fellowship and entertainment for quilters of all levels. It’s also an opportunity for non-quilters to view hundreds of quilts showcasing the artistry and stitching talents of quilters from all across the country.

The event’s 10-category quilt contest exhibit offers a stunning display of creative designs and diverse techniques, and attendees can vote for their favorite contest quilt to win the Viewers’ Choice Award. Several special quilt exhibits also will be featured.

Quilt Expo’s educational offerings include lectures by notable quilting experts that offer new ideas and workshops, taught by quilting authorities, that teach quilting skills.

The shopping venue supplies a wide selection of quilting wares, gifts and notions. Demonstrations by industry leaders on quilting products and techniques are featured in stage presentations. A raffle for prizes, a “Quilt to Give” community-service project, appearances by public television’s Nancy Zieman and two evening events are part of the activities.

To purchase advance tickets or to pre-register for lectures, workshops and evening events, visit wiquiltexpo.com online or phone 866-297-6545. Admission is $9 at the door; parking is paid separately at the Alliant Energy Center gate.

Quilt Expo is a partnership of Wisconsin Public Television and Nancy Zieman Productions LLC.

Funding for Quilt Expo is provided by Nancy’s Notions, Baby Lock, Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting, Janome, Bernina, Koala Studios, Elna, Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff.
