Hospice Advantage is a Medicare and Medicaid certified hospice program, providing superior end –of-life care to patients and families in 11 states including Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

Direct Volunteer Opportunities

(must be at least 18 years old)

Friendly Visitor Volunteers*

Bring the gift of friendship to our patients and their families.

Regular visits to offer support,

companionship & assistance

with non-medical tasks helps

ensure that patients spend their

final days in dignity and comfort.

Compassionate Care Team*

Dedicated volunteers providing

vigil support to patients with

limited or no family support

during the last hours of life.

Veterans for Veterans*

These volunteers, who are

Veterans, provide support and recognition of one’s military

service to patients with similar background.

Community Relations

Bingo caller, cards or helper in a senior living facility. We would like to find a facility near you.

Pet Therapy Visits*

Animals impart a calming and positive affect on individuals in ways that humans are not able to. They give unconditional love and affection to anyone and everyone.

Indirect Volunteer Opportunities

(must be at least 16 years old)

Office support – assist with organizational and clerical tasks to allow our staff more time to provide direct patient care.

Card Making – Our patients enjoy receiving homemade cards just to say “hello” or Happy Birthday”!

Cake Bakers spread goodwill

by helping patients and families celebrate the special dates in their life – birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or just anytime is a good time for cake!

Petals of Joy pick up flowers from local florist or right out of your garden. Dress them up nice in a small vase with a card and deliver with a smile. Now isn’t that the perfect recipe?

Shawl Makers If you are handy knitting, this is a great opportunity! All of our patients receive a prayer shawl

Scrapbook/Picture Collage if you are crafty or not, but like to be creative we have a great opportunity for you. What a wonderful way to relive great memories!

Advertising Assistant Keep up with flyers and brochures at various businesses, public places.

Item and food donations are greatly accepted during any holiday!
