Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center

Offers E-Donate to Support Local Veterans

Walla Walla, WA – The Jonathan M. Wainwright VA Medical Center announces the availability of a new online donation service, E-Donate that will provide community members an opportunity to give back to Veterans at the Walla Walla VA Medical Center a simple and secure way to pledge their support. You can choose to donate to the Walla Walla VA or any other VA medical center. And, it’s a simple – and safe – way to pledge your support to the account of your choice, right from your home computer or mobile device.

“We’ve known for years that our citizens want to show their support to the service members who defended their freedoms,” says Deborah McCormick, Acting Directorat the Walla Walla VA. “While not everyone may have the time to volunteer, now anyone can take five minutes online to thank our Veterans in any number of ways.”

The E-Donate option allows donors to select from a number of accounts at the medical center of their choice. Additionally, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) administrative costs are appropriated, so donors can be sure 100 percent of their donations go to the accounts they select and to the Veteran patients they are choosing to support.

“Donated money at our medical center goes directly to the fund you choose,” says Larry Werst, Chief of Community Relations and Voluntary Service. “People would be amazed if they could see how far their dollar goes toward making a difference in the lives of the people who dedicated themselves to us first.” Walla Walla VA programs that you can donate to include General Purpose Fund, Recreation Fund, Bowling Fund, Coffee Fund, and Christmas Fund. It’s your choice.

Donors can find the E-Donate button at www.wallawalla.va.gov (located at the bottom of the page) and the donation can be made by either a credit or debit card. The actual donation is made through a secure site at the U.S. Department of Treasury’swww.pay.gov website. A minimum of $5 is required for an online donation. Visit the Walla Walla VA website today and consider a donation to say ‘thank you” to the Veterans who have served.
