2015 CONFERENCE SUPPORT

FOR ECTA GROUP OFFICE BEARERS

In keeping with the Association’s ongoing commitment to professional development and networking for early childhood professionals in regional areas, and in recognition of the voluntary contributions ECTA Group committee members, ECTA now offers conference support for office bearers from ECTA Groups wishing to attendthe ECTA Annual Conference held in Brisbane on Saturday 27thJune 2015.

Sponsorship Guidelines

  • Sponsorship is available to two office bearers from each of the 2015ECTA Groups.
  • What will sponsorship cover?

Conference support shall be limited to a maximum amount of $400 per ECTA Group office bearer to support travel.

Accommodation will be supplied and booked near the venue by ECTA on a twin share basis.

We will also reimburse the Individual ECTA Member conference registration fee.

  • ECTA recommends that Groups Office Bearers register as soon as possible for the conference to receive their chosen workshops. You do not have to pay when you register, select Invoice as your type of payment. You can then pay at a later date. (You will be reimbursed at the breakfast meeting for your registration)
  • Office bearers who accept support, commit to supporting the facilitation of the conference. This includes assisting during the day where required, and attending the Regional Group Morning Tea gathering on conference day.
  • Office bearers are also required to attendthe ECTA Group breakfast at Pacific Resort Cleveland 8:30 – 10:30am, to be held on Sunday, following the ECTA conference.
  • If an office bearer does not attend the breakfast no reimbursement of expenses and registration fee will be paid.
  • You will be required to book and pay your conference registration fee prior to the conference.
  • Reimbursement of the conference registration fee plus associated expenses up to the nominated conference support value will be made during the breakfast meeting or after the conference once original receipts are received.

ECTA will book twin shared accommodationat Pacific Resort Cleveland to accommodate two office bearers. When only one office bearer applies from a Group they will be expected to twin share with another single office bearer from another group. Accommodationwill be reimbursed forFriday night if required due to flight times.

  • Travel Reimbursement details

Office bearers are urged to book flights early to take advantage of discounts offered.

Transfers from the airport may be reduced by sharing taxi fares or hire car expenses with other office bearers/colleagues attending the conference. (Allow 30-40 minutes to travel between the accommodation and airport.)

Please note: Allow 15 minutes to travel between the accommodation and the conference venue. (Carpooling will be available to transfer to and from the conference from the accommodation.)

Travel arrangements must allow for attendance at the breakfast. It is expected breakfast will conclude at 10:30am.

Transport costs will be limited to fuel reimbursement for those located within 300 kilometres of the venue (Sheldon Event Centre, Taylor Road Sheldon (in grounds of Sheldon College).

Applications must reach ECTA by close of business on 1 May so we can secure accommodation.

  • REGISTER for CONFERENCE ASAP - funding guaranteed for 2 office bearers from each group.

All applications must include:

  1. A completed Application Form (see below), which includes a statement in relation to how the office bearer will share knowledge gained by attending the conference, within their region.
  2. An estimation of the costs for associated travel expenses (please specify)
  3. Image of self (attached to email) This will be shown in welcome slideshow at conference and EYC journal)
