About CENTURION Pack 142
What is a Centurion Pack?
A Centurion Pack is an award to classify those Packs who have had all their adult leadership complete the required scout training. Pack 142 was among the first packs in the Greater Rochester area to receive this award, and is the only pack to have never lost this recognition. 15 plus years of Centurion Pack status!
What are Pack Meetings?
Pack Meetings are where all the dens (Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos) get together for a monthly meeting where the scouts are recognized for their achievements, a den does a demo (something they may have built or a telling of someplace they may have gone) or perform a skit.
Pack meetings occur on the 3rd – sometimes 2nd – Thursday of each month during the scouting year. Meetings start promptly at 7:00 PM in rooms 5 & 6 at the Church of the Assumption.
What is a den?
A den is a group of normally 6 to 8 boys of the same scout age and rank, who will progress along the scouting trail together.

How much are dues?
Annual dues are $30.00 and are collected at sign up ( a prorated amount dependent on the date) and then every March 15.
What does this cover?
The dues cover a portion of the total costs to run the scouting program. This includes the scout council fee, the neckerchief and slide, a scout handbook, admission to the Blue & Gold Dinner, and the many badges, pins and patches your son will earn during the year.
Why do you have fundraisers?
To make up the shortfall and to keep the scouting program affordable to all.
Pack 142 Fundraisers
We have one required fundraiser each year. We have work to make this an activity that is both fun and educational for the scouts.
