Make sure everything from homework, notes; handouts are properly ORGANIZED, where you can easily get to them etc. You never want to be scrambling for papers when/if the time comes for you to use them.

Actually do the math homework. It will pay off in the long run.

Take problems that you don’t understand to the math teacher for help. Getting help from your professor will give you the one on one time that you might need to figure the problem out.

Help . Take advantage of all extra credit opportunities because in the long run when you’re dangling between an B and a C or a C and a D. It will give you the extra points that you need to get a better grade.

Study study study. Don’t think just because its math there isn’t a way to study. Because there is and that actually helps.

Use all material as well as hand outs to look over and so study off of especially old test. On the problems that you got wrong as well as the problems you got right use a sperate piece of paper to write out the questions and since you have the answers try to figure out your mistake.

Carry all materials to class on exam review days. Even though it might seem like to many papers as well as books it will help if the work is in front of you. There for you will be able to realized if there is a question that went unanswered before it’s too late.

Come to the teacher before exams to make sure you are doing a problem correctly if ever in doubt.

Especially come to class. Even though the teacher might not take attendance it is extremely valuable to be in class so that you won’t miss anything.

Start early reviewing for exams so when ever in doubt, you will have enough time to get the problem situated if ever one occurs.

Stay awake during class. For times when a teacher uses a joke that can possibly make a student remember a problem it would be good for you to be awake.
