FOOD AND BEVERARGE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

The Raytown Parks and Recreation Department has an opening for Food and Beverage Manager. This position will oversee and supervise all concessions at Super Splash operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Prepare and maintain operational budgets, expenses, and forecasting of annual expenditures, revenues, and trends. Assist in developing short and long-term capital improvement plans including design and cost estimates.
•Enter and maintain programs and data within the departments registration software for concessions stand, which include Kronos (time keeping), and Point of Sale and Inventory software programs.
•Coordinates activities and acts on employee relation issues.Orders supplies, product and equipment for concession operations.
•Assign priorities and work. Trains and instructs concession personnel. Interview and recommend staff selections.
•Audit receipts, purchasing and labor expenses.
•Coordinate effective and efficient use of personnel, equipment, supplies and facilities for concessions operations.
•Ensures compliance with regulatory mandates and standards for liquor, health, safety, customers, contractors and employees.
•Researches, prepares and submits bid documents for equipment, supplies, materials and services related to concessions operations. Reviews, accepts or recommends bid awards as appropriate.
•Assist with divisional marketing and promotion including the development and distribution of concession marketing materials and advertisements.
•Assists with developing policies and procedures for concession functions including but not limited to work rules, fees/charges, hours of operation, contract services, etc.
•Assists with obtaining all required City, County and State Licenses and Permits
•Supervise and coordinate all labor during daily operations, supervise all seasonal and part time help.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
This Food and Beverage Manager will need previous training in business management, food service or concessions. A minimum of three years concession/food service management experience. Related Associate degree preferred; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age. All applicants must obtain a Jackson County Health Department Food Handler Permit or similar Food and Health certification.
