1GETTING STARTED

1.1WELCOME

Thank you for buying a Seko product.

In supplying the “Flushing Manifold” system for industrial laundry machines, our Company provides a high quality product that is suitable for all applications. It is easy to use and to install.

Please read this manual carefully, paying particular attention to the warnings and cautions. Always apply the necessary safety procedures, including the use of adequate protection for your face, eyes, and clothing.

1.5MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION

  • Plastic clamps

2INSTALLATION

2.1FIXING THE SOLENOID VALVE (See Figure 1)

  • Connect the two electric wires to the faston connectors in the small box on the solenoid valve.
  • Remove the protective cap from the box, unscrew the metal nut on the solenoid valve.
  • Place the solenoid valve in the hole in the box.
  • Tighten the nut on the solenoid valve’s connector.

2.1.1Fixing the system (See Figure 2)

  • Secure the brackets to the fixing manifold.
  • Fix the manifold to the lower side of the system’s box, making sure that the bracket is inserted in the correct direction.

2.2PLUMBING CONNECTIONS

  • Connect the delivery pipes on the system’s pumps to the flushing manifold.
  • Fit plugs to the inlets not in use.
  • When connecting to the water supply and the washing machine, take note of the arrow on the manifold, which indicates the direction the water is to flow.
  • Connect the outlet from the flushing manifold to the washing machine using the 7/16” OD x 5/16” ID PVC pipe.

The inlets to the pumps and the inlet to the manifold’s solenoid valve are fitted with a non-return valve.

3SETTING AND OPERATION

For programming activation of the solenoid valve, please refer to the manual for the system.

4MAINTENANCE

4.1Maintenance

Routine maintenance of the flushing manifold entails:

  • Cleaning the filter on the solenoid valve.

 WARNING: When carrying out maintenance work always disconnect the power supply and close the water supply tap.

5TROUBLESHOOTING

5.1 If the solenoid valve does not work check that:

  • It is connected to the system’s power supply correctly, in the SOL position.
  • That water is passing through the inlet correctly (tap open where fitted).
  • That opening of the solenoid valve has been enabled in the system’s programming parameters.
