Position Description

The Campaign Executive is a professional-level, temporary fund development position that provides fundraising, teamwork and leadership skills to assist local companies in running successful workplace campaigns. The Campaign Executive works with a results-oriented Resource Development team to manage United Way workplace campaigns within companies located throughout Pierce County. You will be responsible for fundraising, event planning, presentations and building engagement opportunities for an assigned account portfolio. Campaign Executives communicate United Way’s message to potential donors, both in small and large group settings. This experience will enhance your leadership skills and networking abilities.

Essential Duties

·  Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts representing companies throughout Pierce County.
·  Determine appropriate campaign communications and marketing materials supporting the campaign.
·  Conduct on-site fundraising presentations with senior managers, employees, and other nonprofits.
·  Fundraise and ask for employee and corporate contributions.
·  Provide excellent customer/donor service.
·  Seek opportunities to inspire the community about United Way of Pierce County.
·  Represent United Way of Pierce County at coordinator trainings.
·  Attend orientation and training sessions
·  Responsible for updating and maintaining account information in account management software.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Job Skills and Demonstrated Abilities

·  Public speaking experience. Able to conduct presentations with positive and motivational energy to a wide variety of audiences, including sizes greater than 100 people.
·  Strong interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on verbal presentation skills.
·  Demonstrated excellence in prioritizing, problem solving, organizational skills, customer satisfaction, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet, and email
·  A valid Washington driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Frequent travel throughout Pierce County is required.
·  Ability to lift 30 pounds
·  A team player who can who can work in a results driven, diverse environment, and exhibit good judgment.
·  Project management skills and attention to details
·  Ability to work a flexible schedule, occasionally early mornings, evenings, and weekend work

Education and Experience

Experience in Fundraising or Sales/Marketing.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related work experience.

Relationships
This position reports to a Resource Development Officer.
Dates of Employment
Duration of this position is a 15-week commitment from August 24-December 4, 2015. No vacations will be authorized. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Must be able to work a flexible schedule since companies often have a campaign outside of typical business hours. You will have Thanksgiving Day and the day after (November 26 & 27) off with pay.
Excellent training and expense reimbursement is provided.
Salary: $550.00 per week
