It’s Time to Play Outside!
The weather can be unpredictable, it is important to make sure the kids are appropriately dressed. Children should wear play clothes, closed-toed shoes with socks and bring a jacket each day.
Scholastic Book Order
T he Scholastic book order will be sent home Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3. The orders are due back on Monday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 9. Also, a quick thank you to all the families who participated this year!
Join the Parade
FPC is going to have a float in the Valley of Flowers Parade on Sunday, May 7. There will be a realistic model of our Church building, complete with a carillon playing hymns, and images from our Presbyterian (PCUSA) world mission. This will all be on top of a station wagon with banners and our logo. You don’t want to miss it. We, and our FPC Learning Center families, will be walking behind the float. The parade starts at the James Eagan Center at 1:45 pm. If you are walking behind the float, meet at Atonement Luthern Church at 1:00 pm. It’s sure to be a lot of fun and give us opportunity to share our mission and ministry with our community in Florissant.
Pre-Kindergarten Graduation/Program
The Pre-Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony/Program is set for Ms. Lisa’s Purple group and Ms. Kathy’s Blue group ONLY. This program is for parents, family, and friends of our Pre-K classes only and will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the hall. Please be sure your child is in his/her classroom no later than 6:00 p.m. Parents, families, and friends will need to find a seat in the hall while the children are getting ready. The teachers will then proceed down to the hall with the children for the ceremony to begin. The graduation program will last about 45 minutes; there will be a short time after the ceremony for you to take pictures. There will also be a short intermission and we ask that you please stay seated. We are looking forward to a fun, exciting, and memorable night with our Pre-K children and their families! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Ms. Lisa or Ms. Kathy.
Also, one other important note… Please DO NOT put the girls’ hair up in rubber bands or bows because the graduation caps will not stay on well. The last day of school for the Pre-K is Thursday, May 25 and Friday May 26.
Pre-School Program — “Disney”
Twice a year we hold special programs for parents, families, and friends to hear songs the children have been working on. This is a very special event and the children are always so excited to show everyone how hard they have worked on their songs, so we hope that you will join us during this fun and exciting event!
This year’s program for our Pre-School classes and their families will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 6:30 pm. This program is for Ms. Natalie’s & Ms. Leslie’s Green group, Ms. Theresa & Miss Kristin’s Red group, and Ms. Monica & Ms. Lori’s, Yellow groups ONLY. Please have your child in his/her classroom no later than 6:00 pm, and then please find a seat in Harmon Hall to wait for the program to begin. The program will begin promptly at 6:30 pm. Remember, due to the large turn out we have for this event, seating will be limited. Please be patient with us as we will do our best to try to accommodate everyone.
