- What is your current position as it relates to the Early Childhood arena? – Professor at Pinellas Technical College. I teach the current early childhood staff a credential needed to teach Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK).
- Has your affiliate signed the new charter agreement with SECA?
- If so, state the date.–June 17, 2016 the Florida AEYC board voted to sign the SECA charter agreement. The president, Bill Ganza was to sign.
- If not, where is your affiliate in the process?

- Affiliate Leadership meeting – gave out SECA book and talked about value of SECA membership to affiliate leaders
- Describe your state and local affiliates efforts to:
- Increase membership – offering free CEU’s to members
- Retain membership - offering free CEU’s to members
- Describe the success of such efforts – membership has been steady for the last few months
- Describe the challenges/concerns your affiliate is currently facing. – increase membership, get leaders at the local level, get younger members, have no executive director and board members have had to step in to help the office assistant to put on a successful conference, the hotel where the conference was pulled all our rooms last week and 2 months prior to conference, we had to sign a new hotel for the conference
- Describe how SECA can support and assist your state affiliate and membership in their endeavors to improve the lives of the young children in your state. – Board members mentioned some support to redevelop our website.
