COURSE OF AIR CONDITIONING CONTRACTOR:

Course duration: 4 MONTHS

Hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 09:00 PM

Objective: To prepare those wishing to be licensed with the State of Florida as Air Conditioning Contractors, with the best techniques to study the books required by the state and the most important points to pass the exam.

** The State examination can be taken in Spanish or English. The books are in English only. If students cannot read English, not a hindrance, since the exam questions are identical to questions from the books. The course will teach you to find where the questions are with your answers.

Course Fee: $ 1,000.00

(To begin the course can give a down payment and pay the balance in installments)

Books: $ 1,300 will be available for sale in class.

This course will prepare efficiently for the exam: Air Conditioning Contractor Class "A", Class "B" and Mechanical Contractor.

What can you do with an Air Conditioning Contractor Class "A" license?

CAandRA - A "Contractor" A "Air Conditioning" means a contractor which services are unlimited in the execution of contracts requiring the experience, knowledge, and ability to install, maintain, repair, fabricate, alter, extend, or Central Air design, cooling system, heating and ventilation system. Contractors Class "A" can also execute contracts requiring experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, fabrication, modification, extension or design of duct work over a complete system but only to the extent that such work duct is performed by the contractor as necessary to complete an air distribution system, the boiler and unfired pressure vessel system, and all dependencies, apparatus, or equipment used in connection with them. A contractor class "A" Air Conditioning will not do any work such as liquefied petroleum gas or fuel lines within buildings, natural gas, drinking water, fodder or connections, sanitary sewer lines, tubing and swimming pool filters, or wiring electric power.

What can you do with an Air Conditioning Contractor Class "B" license?

CA y RA – A contractor class "B" Air Conditioner means a contractor whose services are limited to 25 tons of cooling and 500,000 BTU of heating in any system in the execution of contracts requiring the experience, knowledge, and ability to install , maintain, repair, fabricate, alter, extend, or design central air, refrigeration, heating and ventilating, including duct work over a complete system. A contractor class "B" Air Conditioner will not do any work such as liquefied petroleum gas or fuel lines within buildings, natural gas, drinking water, fodder or connections, sanitary sewer lines, tubing and swimming pool filters, or electrical wiring of power.

What can you do with an Air Conditioning Contractor Class "C" license?

CA y RA – A contractor of class "C" means Air Conditioning contractor to whom services are limited to servicing the Air Conditioning, heating, cooling systems, including any duct cleaning and disinfecting equipment that requires at least a partial removal system, and which certification or registration issued under this part, was valid on October 1, 1988. NOTE: No person not previously registered or certified as a contractor of class "C" Air Conditioner as of October 1, 1988, so it will be registered or will be certified after October 1, 1988.

What can you do with a Mechanical Contractor license?

CM y RM - A "mechanical" contractor means a contractor whose services are unlimited in the execution of contracts requiring the experience, knowledge, and ability to install, maintain, repair, fabricate, alter, extend, or design central air, refrigeration, heating and ventilation sisterma, including duct work over a complete system. A "mechanical contractor" will not perform any work nor will include any work such as fuel lines, liquefied petroleum gas inside buildings, fodder and drinking water connections, sanitary sewer lines, tubing and swimming pool filters, or electrical wiring order.

Who qualify for a contractor license:

-Over 18 years

-Good Morals

-Must have Social Security

-4 Years of experience in building accredited by a General Contractor, Building Contractor, Residential Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or Contractor Air Conditioning Class "A" or "B" (depending on the category you choose).

-If the student has a professional title relating to the construction of another country is credited with 3

years and must provide proof of a General Contractor, Building Contractor, Residential Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or Contractor Air Conditioning Class "A" of this country for the year remaining

The course consists of several modules:

  1. Basic math
  2. Mathematics applied to construction problems
  3. Study, Interpretation and Troubleshooting planes
  4. Accounting and finance applied to business
  5. Review and theoretical orientation in the books of studies

The state exam is presented in 2 Days:

* On day 1 review is presented of Business Administration and Finance.

* On day 2 presents the review of Technical Knowledge.
