A well-established charity that helps ex-offenders and disadvantaged people to move their lives forward, St. Giles Trust offers support to help people overcome any issue that might be holding them back. The Peer Circles project is funded by the Big Lottery and the European Social Fund and led by St Giles Trust in a partnership with Evolve, Shelter and CGL. Our aim? To provide support and activities for people with complex needs and severe and multiple disadvantages in order to enable them to develop improved employability skills and progress into sustainable employment. It's here that we need your help.

What you will be doing:

  • Providing overall management and leadership to the Peer Circles project and partners and taking responsibility for achieving performance targets and outcomes while working to budget.
  • Ensuring the project delivers high quality services that respond to participant feedback and have gender equality and equalities embedded within them.
  • Developing close working relationships with partner delivery staff, their managers and representatives and ensuring effective IT and paper based processes are maintained in order to collect and record vital information.
  • Carrying out auditing of monthly participant information and support teams and partners to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Organising and coordinating the project’s evaluation activities by liaising with other stakeholders.
  • Helping to identify future opportunities to help make the project sustainable and promoting the aims and values of the organisation.

And what you will need:

  • A track record in a related role, including substantial experience of managing contractual and performance management requirements and a strong understanding of gender equalities and equal opportunities.
  • Excellent knowledge of the issues faced by people with complex needs/severe and multiple disadvantages and best practice in providing relevant employment support.
  • Experience of motivating and line managing a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers plus a commitment to a Peer Advisor approach.
  • A proven ability to manage budgets and maintain accurate records of expenditure and to set up and operate systems to monitor and report on work.
  • Great all-round communication skills, including report writing, and proficiency using office IT and overseeing the use of a case management database.
  • Strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach to working with others to resolve any conflicts of interest professionally.
