Ifyouarenotable toestablishaBluetooth® connectionorShutterPaldoesnot poweron,thebatterymayrequirerecharging.

Usetheincludedmicro-USBcabletoconnectShutterPal to(A)aUSBpower adapter (notincluded)connected to a power outlet or (B)your computer (poweredon)forapproximately1hour.

Quick Setup

AfterpairingyourSmartphoneto ShutterPaland launchingyourdevice’sdefaultcamera app,follow thesestepstoconnectthemonopodtoyourdevice.

Note:Usingyourcamera’sdefaultvideoapp,you canuse ShutterPaltocapturevideoovercrowdsat concertsorindifficulttoreach places.

1. InsertyourdeviceintotheSmartphoneclamp.

Usetheincluded insertifyouhaveasmaller sizedevice.

2.Connect the Smartphone clamp to the monopod screw and tighten using therotary wheel.

3.Adjust theposition of themount andtighten usingthesideknob.

4. Adjustthesizeofthemonopod.

5.PresstheCamerabutton onShutter Palto takeyourphoto.

Note:TheincludedSmartphoneclampcanbeused as a ministandforyourdevicewhendetachedfrom the monopod. In this situation the monopod becomesaremotetriggerforyourSmartphone.

PairingShutter Pal WithYourDevice

1. TurnonyourSmartphone.

2. PoweronShutterPal.

3.HoldtheCamerabutton onShutterPalfor2secondstogointoBluetooth pairingmode.

Note:Onceinpairingmode youwillhave40seconds to connect to your BluetoothdeviceoryouwillneedtorestartthepowerofShutterPalandgo intopairingmodeagain.

Note:IfShutterPal ispoweredonandnotusedfor2hours,itwillgotolow- power mode(sleep).TowakeupShutterPal,presstheCamerabutton onShutterPal.

4.Navigateto yourBluetooth device’s settings menu,find“Shutter Pal”,and connect.

Note: After connected,yourdevicemay askyoutochooseanoptiontousefor thevolumebutton,suchasvolumecontrolorimagecapture.

5.To disconnect pairing,navigateto Shutter Pal in your Bluetooth device’s settingsandselectUNPAIRorturnoffBluetoothonyourdevice.

6. TopairanewdevicetoShutterPal,repeatsteps3 and4.

Note:Maximumrangewillbeachieved when usingdeviceswithBluetooth4.0.

Troubleshooting

Ifyouarenot able totype onyourSmartphonekeyboard:

UnpairfromShutterPalonyourSmartphoneorturnthepoweroffonShutterPal. Keyboardtypingwillnotworkwhen pairedwithShutterPal.

If you are not able to unpairfrom Shutter Pal:Unpair your Smartphone by unpairing from your device’s Bluetooth settings or turning off Bluetooth on your device.

IfShutterPalisworkingintermittentlyornotpairing:TurnoffnearbyBluetooth devices,suchasBluetoothkeyboards,whichmaybeconflictingwithShutterPal.

Ifyourdevice’sdefaultcameraappdoesn'tworkwithShutterPal:Tryoneof many 3rdpartycameraappsthatwillworkwithShutterPal.

IfShutterPalkeepschangingyourphone's volume:Makesureyourcameraappis openandin theforefront.
