Having your class schedule handy when logging in for the first time will be helpful because some of the information you need to set up your password for the first time, such as your Login Name and Student ID number, can be found there.

If you click on the link for Create/Reset Password Instructions you will get the information found on the next page.

If you cannot remember your password, you may reset your password online. You must first answer your three security questions. Once your security questions have been answered correctly, you will be allowed to enter a new password. Follow the steps below to reset your password

  1. Enter your Login Name in the text field at the left and click the I Agree button.

(Note: Your Login Name is the first part of your e-mail address. It is comprised of your first initial, part of your last name and possibly a number up to eight characters. For example, Tom Williams might have the Login Name TWILLIA19.)

  1. Click on the Reset Password button.
  1. Enter the answer to your first security question in the Answer 1 text field, and click the Continue button.

(Note: The actual question displayed may vary from the example and you will only be asked to answer your security questions if you have not already answered them in the Unlock Account function of Password Station.)

  1. Repeat step 3 for Question 2 and Question 3.
  2. Enter your new password in the New Password field and re-enter it in the Confirm field. Click the Continue button to replace your current password with the new password.
  1. Click the Continue button next to the confirmation notification to return to the main window of Password Station.
  1. Choose the Sign Out button in the top right portion of the screen.
  1. Click the Close the window and leave Password Station link to exit Password Station.

(Note: Apart from the portal login browser window, as long as the Password Station browser window was the only other window open, you should now see the myHeartland login page http://my.heartland.edu once more.)

Once you have set your password, you will be able to go to any classroom and login using your Login Name and the password you just created. If you forget your password, you can come back to Password Station and reset it.
