Rules and Regulations

Selected athletes from India and Foreign athletes: By invitation

  1. Technical Rules : The Competition is held under the WMA and IAAF rules. The organizers reserve the right to change any rules if the need arises due to time constraint
  1. Awards: Medals and certificates will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rdplacing. “Certificate of Participation” shall be awarded to all athletes participating in this Championship.Championship Trophies will be awarded to the winners in Men and Women groups separately based on points scored. The points will be 1st place – 5, 2nd place – 3 and third place 1.
  1. Limitations: Individual participation is limited to 4 events and in one eligible age group only.
  1. General: The organizers reserve the right to postpone/alter the time of the track events according to the availability of the track.
  1. Where there are less than three participants in any age group in any event, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the said event.
  1. Entries will not be accepted without the entry fee. Thye entry fee would be: Fist Event 10 US$ and Subsequent events 5 US$ for each event. Entries may please be sent to

  1. All entries must be sent on or before 30thNovember, 2009 in official entry forms or photocopies of the official entry forms can be used. Late entries will be accepted will up to 15th December, 2009 with a late fee of 10 US$ per athlete.
  1. All entry fees to be paid in Cash, on collection of Chest Numbers (foreigners in US $ or in Indian Rupees) payable to: Treasurer/Secretary General, Veterans Athletic Federation of India.
  1. All implements for field events and starting blocks will be provided by the organizers. The use of personal implements is not permitted accept vaulting poles.
  1. Only spikes of 6mm in length or less is permitted in stadium tracks.
  1. The Organizers shall not be responsible for any INJURY suffered by the Competitor or any DAMAGE or LOSS of to his or her property in the course of, or in connection with championship.
  1. Appointed Technical officials shall have the right to disqualify any competitor whose performance is considered dangerous to themselves or to any other Competitors in any competition during the Championships.
  2. Entry signifies that each competitor will follow the rules and regulations, set by the Organizing and Technical Committees.
  1. The competition is open to all men and women who are physically and medically fit for competition.
  1. Certified proof of Date of Birth (Copy of Passport) should accompany the entry forms.
  1. Accommodation:Air conditioned and non air conditioned accommodation will be made available to 200 persons on giving prior requisition.The rates are USD 10 for non air conditioned and USD 25 for air conditioned on Twin Sharing basis. We will be providing free Indian type food to all international athletes and officials Free accommodation will be provided to two persons of a Country and to WMA and AMA Office Bearers.
  1. The Manager’s meeting will be at 4:00 PM on 21st January, 2010at the Stadium Conference Hall
  2. Distribution of Chest Numbers will be from 10:00 a.m. onwards on 21st January, 2010.
  1. Results of all the track events will be decided on time trial basis except 100 Mtrs & 200 Mtrs. Run from which best 8 performers will be selected for finals.
