The price of school meals will rise from £1.70 to £1.80 from September. This increase is in line with recommendations from the local authority.

Finally, I hope you have a really enjoyable break over the summer and look forward to seeing you in the new academic year.

Guidance for PE kit

If students are unable to physically participate in the lesson then a written note from a parent or carer must be provided explaining the reason why they are unable to. This letter, however, does not mean that your child will not participate in the lesson as has happened in previous years. Your child will participate in a role in the lesson that does not aggravate the injury. This could be officiating, leading the warm up, observing, filming or taking part in static activities. Therefore, as your child will be in a sporting environment it is essential that they bring their kit regardless of a note.

All students will be required to wear full Netherwood PE kit for their lessons. This includes the Netherwood PE top, black tracksuit bottoms or shorts and trainers. The policy is that no leggings or three-quarter length trousers are to be worn and shorts should be a suitable length towards the knee. Students should tie hair back ready at the start of the lesson and should bring their own bobble to ensure this happens. All students are to remove jewellery, including wrist bands. The trainers required for PE do not include Decathlons, pumps or Converse. They need to be leather trainers or soft top running trainers to ensure the students are safe in the lessons whether the lessons take place indoor or outdoor.

For the forthcoming year starting in September students are able to buy a Netherwood school PE jumper which is available for £7.

If you require any clarification regarding this letter please do not hesitate to contact Miss K Webb on .
