Financial Explanatory Guidance Notes for the British Academy of Management’s Management Knowledge and Education (MKE) Grant Scheme: 2017-2018

The British Academy of Management (BAM) will award a number of separate grants with the maximum amount of £4,000 per application.

BAM can only consider meeting costs, which are outlined below and meet the following specific criteria.

Please note the following:

·  The Grant will not support the full economic costing given BAM’s position as a registered charity.

·  The Grant will be contracted between BAM and the Principal Applicant’s Research Office.

·  The Principal Applicant’s organisation will need to issue an invoice to BAM to claim the grant. Grant holder(s) must not commit any expenditure prior to the contract being issued and the period of grant has commenced.

·  The host organisation must agree not to top-slice the grant. Applicants are to receive the full grant being awarded. This agreement must be included with the application. The host organisation normally also includes a commitment to support attendance at the BAM Annual Conference; over and above standard conference support. These agreements must be included with the application. Please note: applications without this agreement will be rejected.

What costs will and will not be covered by the Grant

The following items listed below are indicative costs that will be covered by the Grant:

Ø  Accommodation, Travel and Subsistence
