You may access hard copy applications in the counseling office or go directly to website links for downloads or online applications. The Federal Trade Commission maintains this web site. This site offers pointers on how to avoid scholarship scams.
It is recommended that when you know to which colleges you are applying , you go to that college’s web site to see scholarships that are offered through the college. You may need to fill out a separate scholarship application for these scholarships.

Leadership 1000 Scholarship—Omak High School
This scholarship is open to all Omak High School graduating seniors. Student must be a Washington State resident with a 2.75 or higher GPA, planning to enroll as a full-time college student and must meet financial need criteria. Scholarship award may range from $2500 up to $5000 a year for four-years for a total of $20,000. Please see criteria details and apply online at

Washington State Opportunity Scholarship
The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship helps low and middle income residents earn first bachelor’s degrees. This year over 1800 high school and college students will be selected to become Opportunity Scholars. Selected students will receive a renewable scholarship each year for four years, provided they continue to meet the renewal criteria. This scholarship is to help in their pursuit of four-year degrees in the following eligible high demand programs of study: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Health Care. To apply go to

Washington Apple Education Foundation
Several scholarship opportunities open to Washington state high school seniors or current college students from Washington. See the packet for details. Hamilton Youth Foundation Scholarship
Open to high school graduates who have been, or are currently involved in agricultural and /or natural resource activities, such as 4-H or FFA OR are interested in pursuing educational studies in agriculture or natural resource-related fields. Confluence Health Healthcare Scholarship (Formerly Wenatchee Valley Medical Center)
Open to graduating seniors planning to pursue a healthcare related degree program for the academic year following graduation. Confluence Health has long supported youth in our communities. Confluence Health is looking for highly talented students who have demonstrated superior academic merit, exemplary character, integrity, purposefulness and desire to work in the medical field. IBEW Local Union 191 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers)
Open to graduating seniors in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan, San Juan Island, Skagit, Snohomish & Whatcom Counties who are pursuing a technical degree in construction related field at a Community or Technical College. American Indian Endowed Scholarship
Applicants must demonstrate financial need, and be Washington residents with close social and cultural ties to an American Indian Tribe. George Washington Foundation Scholarship
Each scholarship is $1050 per year ($350 per trimester; $525 per semester). This scholarship is renewable for sophomore year to qualifying students. Selection is based on the student’s financial need, coupled with those personal qualities, which indicate future use and benefit to society.

Washington State Govenor’s Scholarship
This scholarship is open to graduating seniors who have maintained a 2.0 GPA, plan to enroll fulltime in an eligible college or university, have resided in WA state for at least three years. Please visit for specific criteria and to apply online.

Robert J. Handy and WSSR-Foundation Scholarships
These scholarships are open to high school seniors committed to entering the teaching profession, (including classroom teacher, school counselor, school nurse, communication disorder specialist, school physical therapists, school psychologist, reading specialist, librarian, etc.). There are 16 Robert J. Handy scholarships to be granted in the amount of $900 per year, renewable for a total of four years if grades, citizenship, self-reliance, etc., are maintained at acceptable levels. There are 8 WSSR-Foundation Scholarships to be granted in the amount of $2500 each for one year only. There is 1 Neil D. Prescott Scholarship to be granted in the amount of $2500 for one year only. ESA Foundation Scholarship
The ESA Foundation awards numerous scholarships annually. There is a General Honorarium Endowment given to a student submitting their completed application by December 15th. For more information and to apply visit There is a $5.00 fee for each scholarship you apply for.

Visionary Scholarship
Applicant must be currently enrolled as a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior; and, must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen. There are multiple awards ranging from $1,000 - $5,000. Relatives of the ACF staff are not eligible to apply.
