Draft Harmonised List of Supporting Documents
for Uniform Schengen Visa
All applicants must show up in person at the Embassy or at the Visa Application Centre. Further documentation may be requested in each individual case.
Section 1: The following requirements apply at all Schengen Embassies in Singapore: / check
1. / One application form, duly completed plus one recent photograph (size: 35mm x 45mm / white background) for each applicant.
2. / A passport or travel document valid for at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the Schengen area. The passport/travel document must contain at least two blank pages and have been issued within the last 10 years.
3. / Travel/medical insurance (coverage EUR 30,000 and valid for the entire Schengen area for the duration of the applicant's planned stay). It is a requirement that claims against the insurance company are recoverable in a MemberState.
Insufficient proof of valid Travel Medical Insurance can lead to repatriation from the Schengen area.
4. / A booking for a round-trip airline ticket.
5. / A Travel itinerary including hotel accommodation reservation or similar confirmation of accommodation for the entire trip.
6. / Proof of legal residence in Singapore

a. / A letter of invitation from the applicant's business partner in the Schengen area.
b. / A guarantee letter issued by company/employer.
8. / Visit to family and/or friends visa
a. / A letter of invitation from the person the applicant is visiting in the Schengen area.
b. / Proof of the applicant's financial circumstances (such as 3 months bank book statements, bank account statements or fixed deposit statements)
c. / A letter from the applicant's employer confirming the leave.
9. / Tourist visa
a. / Proof of the applicant's financial circumstances (such as 3 months bank book statements, bank account statements or fixed deposit statements)

Specific requirements for certain categories of travellers
10. / For minor applicants intending to travel without their parents/legal guardians, the application has to be submitted by parents/legal guardians who must present the minor's birth certificate and give their written consent. If parents/legal guardians are not present in Singapore their written consent should be legalised by the relevant embassy, in the place of residence of the parents/legal guardians.
11. / Students must provide identification/university cover letter
