Final competitor Instruction sheet for The High Life Saturday 7/10/17

Car Park (opens 7.30am) Entrance is off East Chevin Road, Otley. If you are heading out of Otley it is on the Right just after the Auction Mart (which is on the left), but before you get to Birdcage Walk. Drive as far along as you can get and park near a footbridge over the bypass. This is not a public car park, but is on land owned by Leeds City Council. You can leave your finish bag at the Start. For those on the 80K and 105K races you can leave a drop bag for Checkpoint 3 – Skipton Moor and for the 105K you can leave a Bag for CP6 – North Rigton. These should be no more than a carrier bag size maximum.

Registration: Yorkshire Runner, 38 Bondgate, LS21 1AD (01943) 666750. (opens at 7.30am) If you exit the car park downhill (opposite the footbridge heading downhill into Otley on Station Road and turn right at the bottom on Bondgate. Cross at the pedestrian Crossing just after Sainsbury’s Entrance and continue on opposite side, Yorkshire Runner is on the left. Last minute kit can be bought from Tim.

Gates: Please close all gates behind you unless there is a runner immediately behind you, there may livestock in some of the fields.

Route: A full description is provided in a separate file and a .gpx file is provided. The 50K route will be fully taped in Yellow, I will also try to tape as much of the 80km and 105km as possible in White where it is different from the 50Km.

Checkpoints: There are 8 Checkpoints. CP3 & CP6 are not on the 50K course and CP7 & CP8 are only on the 105km course. Please visit all checkpoints or disqualification/time penalties may be incurred.

Finish is inside Pool-in-Wharfedale Methodist Church, side entrance on Manor Gardens. Food including a hot meal will be available. Course closes 2am. When you finish, a car will take you back to the car park if required. If you are being picked up, please ensure your lift parks sensibly in the village and walks to the church.There is NO parking at the church.

Trophies for the 1st Male, Female, MV50 also for 1st place in the 105km, 80km and 50km races.

Overall placings for points will be in order of distance completed then time. E.g. if someone retires having completed 90km they will be placed above all 80km finishers.

The same T-Shirt and medal goes to all runners!
