Fiabci Italia, the Italian branch of FIABCI, has chosen Cannes MIPIM as its next international showcase.

At the Palais des Festivals, from March 8 to 11, FIABCI Italia will attend the event with a corner dedicated to Fiabci International(Stand FIABCI- Level 01 - 09.27), one of the several sponsors of this demonstration and willinviteall actors of the Italian Real Estate industry to take part in its meetings and share the contents of the largest FIABCI international meeting onMarch 10.

With sixty member countries represented and a more than sixty-year-old story, 3,200 individual members, a hundred national trade associations as members and access to over one and a half million potential contacts around the world, FIABCI is undoubtedly the most popular international Real Estate association in the world.

A reality that has been present in Italy since 1977 and which, since 2010, has had a new president, Giancarlo Bracco to assist the World President Enrico Campagnoli.

A fully Italian match then, with major expansion goals and tangible opportunities for business as well as cultural exchange. FIABCI guarantees its members new businessopportunities both in Italy and abroad, and in these termsit stands as a genuine “access key” to the global market.

During the event, FIABCI will organize daily some Business Matching Meetingsand Moments of Presentations of the 2011 Newsin its own stands, which is the reference and meeting point of all international FIABCI members participating in the MIPIM event.These sessions will place particular emphasis on the initiatives in progress on the front of youth enhancement (FIABCI Young Members), the actions undertaken alongwith the UN, the training opportunities available at all levels, the unique capability of its networking system and the Prix d’Excellence Awards.

This is also an important opportunity to launch the new 2011 membership campaign and gather new members, a springboard for this new phase of FIABCI Italia particularly rich in activities at national and international levels.

The Italian president Giancarlo Bracco will speak at various times during these sharing sessions and participate in the conference sponsored by FIABCI during the MIPIM event.

The conference will be held on March 10 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Palais de Festival and will be titled: <Unece policy framework for sustainable real estate markets: lessons from country pilot cases and the way ahead> . Among others, Paola Deda from the United Nations, Enrico Campagnoli (FIABCI World President), Giampiero Bambagioni (United Nations), the national representatives of several European countries and Twaijri Mohammed from the Arab League for Economic and Social Affairs will take part in the discussion.

During the conference, the actions taken by FIABCI in several European countries to stem the serious crisis of 2010 and assist the UN Economic Commission infacing real estate issues in terms of sustainability and ethics will be examined and discussed. In particular, the main focus will be a major pilot project promoted by UNECE and FIABCI which,on June 18, 2010 in Kyiv,established the document of the ten basic principles for the development of the real estate market in Ukraine.

The experts will also pay great attention to the United Nations event organized by FIABCI on January 27, 2011 inLisbon, with the theme: “The Principles of the United Nations as a tool for Real Estate to be a driving force of recovery”. The model, proposed in Brussels and tested in Ukraine, as already said above, will be applied to European economy.

The next issues on the table of the UN Real Estate Market Advisory Group will also be addressed: issues of current interest such as the introduction of ratings in the Real Estate field, the evaluation of environmentally sustainable investment, social housing and territorial policy.

Giancarlo Bracco is partner to, as well as the historical founder of ImmobilSarda Srl, a real estate brokerage company operating in Sardinia since 1973 in the tourism industry providing thorough services for the establishment and development of tourism/housing in Sardinia and the founder, in 2006, of IMS Holding SpA.

Giancarlo Bracco has been member to FIABCI since 1977.

Enrico Campagnoli (born 1942) was the founder, manager and shareholder of several companies in the Real Estate industry which are successfully operating in Italy, USA and Switzerland. He was the CEO of the UN Real Estate Market Advisory Group (REM) – in the Economic Commission for Europe.
