FERRARI OWNERS GET A ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH!

Ferrari has launched its snow and ice driving courses on both sides of the Atlantic, with its traditional winter driving courses in European Alps being complimented for the first time by a series of snow and ice driving courses in the United States, based in the at the exclusive Aspen ski resort in the Rocky Mountains.

Based on the Pilota on Ice driving programs offered in Europe, the US Winter Driving Experience is Ferrari’s newest and most dynamic driving program. The two-day course, which starts in January 2012, is specifically developed with the new Ferrari FF in mind; to highlight the versatility and functionality of the all-new model

The FF, which will arrive in Australia and New Zealand in early 2012, is the first model in Ferrari history to feature four-wheel drive yet uses no ordinary four-wheel drive technology. The proprietary, lightweight Ferrari 4RM system enables the FF to retain sporty and dynamic driving characteristics while providing the added traction necessary in low-grip situations.

The beauty and topography of Aspen offers the perfect backdrop for the custom-made snow and ice course that Ferrari will build to showcase the FF model’s potent abilities. Owners will participate in snow and ice driving exercises using a fleet of eight specially prepared FFs. The cabin of an FF is an ideal environment from which to appreciate the car’s various attributes; the all-wheel drive system as well as its four-seat accommodation and supreme luxury. The goal, as ever, is to elevate driver skill and comfort and to enhance a driver’s understanding of the extraordinary breadth of abilities of the all-season GT.

Owners and their guests lodge at the Little Nell Resort, Aspen’s finest boutique hotel and only minutes from the purpose-built track facility. Within minutes of the host resort, Ferrari will build and maintain a dedicated snow-and-ice track. The highly technical course will allow students, under the close direction of Ferrari instructors, to experience the impressive handling attributes of the FF through its Ferrari 4RM system.

The Aspen environment features countless family and winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling and even dog sledding.

Exclusively available to Ferrari owners, the Ferrari Winter Driving Course is a two day programme with a price of $US11,300 excluding transport to Aspen.

The European Pilota on Ice course is, for 2012, based is also based around the Ferrari FF, unlike previous years when the Ferrari California and Ferrari F430 have been used. As in America this will enable the course to fully demonstrate the Ferrari FF and for clients to appreciate its remarkable range of abilities. Run on a purpose built course, the European programme is based in the Swiss resort of St Moritz and has prices starting from Euro 8,000 excluding transport to Italy.

Full details on both courses are available from Ferrari dealers in Australia and New Zealand.
