PREPARATION AND INSTALLATION:
Road Grading: / The road base (gravel) should have a good mixture of fine and medium sized aggregate. The road will be disturbed to mix up the aggregate. The road will be shaped so that it is crowned to allow run off of precipitation. No compaction of the road base material at this point.
Water: / Water must be added to the graded (non-compacted) road base. Sufficient quantities to moisten the material and allow the infiltration of the dust control agent.
Mag Chloride: / Apply the Magnesium Chloride to the wetted road base at the rate of ½ gallon per square yard.
Compaction: / Compaction of the road surface can be accomplished with a specific piece of equipment designed for compaction. Or normal vehicular traffic will accomplish the same effect.

CLEARANCES, PERMITS and UTILITIES: / It shall be the responsibility of the cooperator to obtain all necessary clearances, permits, rights of way, and to comply with all ordinances and laws pertaining to the construction of this project.
It shall be the responsibility of the cooperator to assure that the project is constructed according to specifications listed on this Specification Sheet. Any changes shall be submitted in writing, to the NRCS field office 48 hours prior to implementation for approval.
NRCS shall be notified 72 hours prior to construction.
No representation is made as to the existence or non-existence of any utilities, public or private.
The cooperator must obtain the exact location and depth of all utilities from the utility companies prior to excavation or construction activities. For utility notification call Blue Stakes of Utah at 1-800-662-4111.
REMARKS:
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Regular inspection of road base should be a part of an on-going management program.
Inspection after storm events is required to facilitate the function of the intended use of the road.
Maintenance and repairs will be performed as needed to facilitate the continued operation of the road.
