Fees, Rules and Regulations

Junior: Must be 17 years of age or younger as of January 1, 2017. Senior: Must be 18 years of age or older as of January 1, 2017.

Ground Fee for each competing or non-competing horse: $10 per horse. This only allows non competing horses to ride in arenas.

Bridle Tag Deposit/Stall Deposit: $25 refundable deposit for return of bridle tag/stripped stall.

Concessions will be available on grounds.

Dogs must be leashed at all times. First offense, Warning. Second Offense, $50 fine; as it is a safety hazard.

Children must be supervised at all times for safety reasons. A swing set/play area is available for parents to supervise their children.

Photography: Available by Bee Photography. Sign up in advance or day of event.

Reading of Dressage tests: Available in advance or day of event.

.Refunds: less $25 office fee. After CD with doctor / vet excuse. No shows forfeit all. Cancellation by management less $35

League Dressage Shows Pre-Entries only. Sr: $18/class or 3 classes for $45. Jrs: $15/class or 3 classes for $30. Pas de Dues, Musical Kur, Western Dressage prices and ribbons as regular League Dressage rates. Fix a Test $30.

Awards: Event Derby: Ribbons 1st-6th; prize for 1st with minimum three entries per class.Prizes for lowest dressage score and closest to optimum time. Dressage only classes, Ribbons only: 1st-3rd. No prizes. Jump only/added jump rounds: No ribbons, no points toward placing. Schooling Jumper Shows: 1st-3rd, small prizes for first with minimum three entries per class. League Dressage Shows: Ribbons 1st-3rd. Small prize for 1st with minimum three entries per class.

Stabling: Panel stalls; $30/night, day stalls available $15/day; $25 separate check stall deposit. Stalls must be stripped and competitor must check with secretary to get deposit check back or forfeit check. Please no panels in pasture. If panels have been “specially ordered” and competitor cancels for any reason, stalls must be paid for in full.

Attire: For all events at “An Event Barn”, USEA/USEF rules will apply as closely as possible. Safety gear, helmets, boots must be worn by all competitors when mounted. Whips, spur length, use of bits and bridles for dressage and xc will adhere to USEA/USEF rules. IDEA Recognized classes competitor MUST WEAR FORMAL ATTIRE. However, clinic attire okay for all other classes with neat appearance. Helmets, breeches, collared shirts, boots, armbands required. Optional: Braiding, jackets, gloves,

Schooling Jumper Shows: Rounds are “schooling rounds” or “competition rounds”. Schooling rounds will be timed and scored but do not earn placing. Ribbons will be awarded 1st-3rd for “competition rounds” only. Closest to optimum time (over or under) wins. No more than one competition round may be entered per class. The “competition round” and “schooling round” must be declared before competing. Ties will be broken by hundredths and closest to optimum time without going over. Jumps may include rails, gates, verticals, oxers, roll tops, planks, panels, walls. High point for low, med, high divisions same horse/rider combo must ride in three shows.

Schooling jumper show scoring:First disobedience (refusal, run out, circle, stopping anywhere on course: 4points; Second disobedience, 8 points; Third disobedience, elimination. Management reserves the right to allow competitor to continue after elimination.• Rails, 4 points; • First fall of competitor or horse, Mandatory Retirement

League Dressage Shows and Dressage Only Scoring: Tests will be scored by percentage. The highest percentage wins. USEF dressage rules will apply as closely as possible. Ties will be broken by collectives. Ride times available Thursday before show.

IDEA Recognized Event Derby:The Idaho Event Derby Series in June and October, hosted by An Event Barn, are IDEA Recognized. They will be run in accordance with Idaho Event Derby Series2017 rules. The Dressage test will be ridden first in a 20m x 40m arena followed by the jumping phase which will include a combination of show jumping and cross country style obstacles. The jumping obstacles may include the same elements as the schooling jumper arena in addition to xc jumps including coops, roll tops, sunken road, cordwood, ramps, cabins, water, ditches, logs, corners, up and down banks, and chevrons. The Event Derbies are judged with penalty points. Lowest score wins. Dress MUST be formal English attire for IDEA recognized competition. Jackets, breeches, helmets, boots, rat catchers or show shirts are required. Ride times available Thursday before show.

IDEA Recognized Event Derby Scoring: The dressage test will be computed using penalty points. The jumping phase will use “show jumping” scoring for rails, (4pts per rail) and disobediences (first disobedience 4points, 2nd disobedience 8 points, 3rd disobedience is elimination), but xc scoring for circles between jumps, optimum time, and speed faults. The lowest penalty points wins. Ties will be broken by competitor with jump phase time closest to optimum time without going over.

This is a fair weather facility. Classes may be combined, cancelled or rain dated at the discretion of management for the safety of horses and riders
