FEES, BURSARIES AND SCHOLARSHIPS GROUP

The Fees, Bursaries and Scholarships Group advises the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director of Finance.

Notes of its proceedings will be taken by the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director of Finance who will circulate them to appropriate officers of the University.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director of Finance is the Chairman of the Group.

Terms of Reference

1Tuition fees

1.1To advise the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director of Finance on:

ithe University’s tuition fees policies;

iituition fees charges for full-time UK/EU and part-time students;

iiithe University’s concessionary fees policy.

1.2To assist the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director of Finance in the implementation and monitoring of such policies and charges.

2Bursaries

To advise the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director of Finance on:

iUniversity policy in relation to bursaries, including the criteria for the awarding of bursaries, their value and the process whereby bursaries are awarded, and to assist him or her in monitoring the impact of that policy;

iithe content of the University’s Access Agreement and to assist him or her in monitoring its impact and University’s achievement of the ‘milestones’ identified within it.

3University Scholarships

To advise the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director of Finance on policies in relation to University scholarships, including the criteria for the awarding of such scholarships, their value, the number to be awarded, the process whereby such scholarships are awarded, and to assist him or her in monitoring the impact of those policies.
