WRA Board and Member Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by Colette Chase at 12:34pm

Linda Frank, Vice President reported on the Website for the WRA and suggested changes, board voted and approved Linda and Diana to go ahead and make changes as necessary to include but not limited to…..Put events in order or remove them (send to Liz Pyle #8 200 plus state cert hours). Hide the WRA Merchandise tab. Update board photos and bio’s, delete page 2 of the online courses.
Blog: Colette Chase, WRA President, has access to the WRA
Option #1current bloggers need to be removed which will result in losing the blog, option 2 to hide the blog and that will leave the tab for future if it becomes a need.
Website: Board should decide who has access, restrict access to the website to the current admin. . Teri S to ad facebook page to go to new tab all links will lead to new tab. Website changes are approved between Terri Shelton, Linda Frank and Diana Bieker.
Membership Renewal & Passwords: Member Password log in to change each renewal year and members have 45 days to pay their dues password is not given out till they are current on their dues.
Kathy Schmidt Fund (KSF): Hard copy to be removed off of the website and online applications will be available.
Debby Ferrell reports that the chimpmail is not set up correctly. Debby will review chimpmail and suggest changes; however, all items are still useable during this cleanup. Membership cards – PDF version to manage new membership cards Diana offered assistance.
PR Committee: Linda frank wants a 2nd banner – Diana will get pricing. Linda Frank proposes an ad in the Natural Choice Directory for $495.00 this would be a benefit for members as an additional advertising link to get prospective clients to the website to look for a reflexologist. Diana Bieker proposes that we table this issue till we figure out the finances, Terri Goddard says that $495.00 is 25% of our reserve for the year, deadline has passed for the cutoff for submitting the ad and we will put it on the January meeting for next year.
Newsletter: Board voted and passed suspending the newsletter until a volunteer steps forward. We are unable to continue with the newsletter and voted it is ok to change the format of the newsletter for future publication.
WRA Facebook Page for Pro Members ONLY: Members voted to have Professional Members ONLY facebook page and Diana Bieker will implement and create the page.
Brainstorming exercise: Colette asked members to offer ideas to improve the WRA organization to benefit the members. Listed are a few items that were mentioned.
Forms to provide on the website for members to download and use in their practice:
Intake form - Insurance Release – business practices – Dr. Release Forms, HIPPA Law Info – Marketing Ideas – Events to participate in – Tea –n- Talk info which is now referred to as regional team meetups – Volunteer events – Reflexology awareness week events – Music Sources – You Tube Video demonstrations and about the WRA – Logo Use and How to information – Brochures – Classifieds for members – Online classes – Letter Sample to send to Drs. –5K walk – provide reflexology for the walkers 15 minutes no charge to walkers- Package pricing for your services – Links to tools for client self care.

Board & Member Meetings:
July9th Saturday, 2016, in Tri City, the Tri City group will be putting together activities and a class, Colette will check into a nurse or someone who can provide a credit class for members.
