  • They are happy to announce the release of the new “How to Guide” for the PEERS data set. This has been loaded on the PIMS webpage: >Teachers & Administrators> PIMS> PIMS Collection How-To Guides.
  • Please also be aware of the upcoming PVAAS data related PIMS submissions related to the PVAAS Roster Verification process. This will be the first of multiple PVAAS reminder, error, and validation emails your LEA may receive.

PVAAS 16-17 SY-PVAAS collection-Staff Student Subtest:

This collection is for the Staff Student Subtest template which is sent to the PVAAS vendor, SAS EVAAS. Each record in that template becomes a roster record in the PVAAS Roster Verification system. This data will pre-populate your LEA’s roster data and significantly reduce the amount of manual entry in the PVAAS roster verification system. This save time for teachers and administrators.

This is the one and only collection of the Staff Student Subtest information. There will not be a correction window for this collection.Once the collection window closes on 3/20/17 at noon, updates will not be collected in PIMS for the PVAAS vendor, SAS EVAAS.

Student Updates 16-17 SY-PVAAS enrollment:

Student enrollment information, which comes from PIMS Student and School Enrollment template data, will be used to update the student population available for review in the PVAAS reporting system during the roster verification process. Students must be included on the original Staff-Student subtest collection or these tow collections. This is the ONLY way a student can be added to a teacher’s roster in Pennsylvania. Please be aware that PDE will be pulling this PVAAS student enrollment data from PIMS on 5/8/17. There will not be a correction window for this collection.

Staff Updates 16-17 SY -PVAAS staff account:

Staff information, which comes from PIMS Staff template data, will be used to create new PVAAS staff accounts in the PVAAS reporting system during the roster verification process. Please be aware that PDE will be pulling this PVAAS staff account data from PIMS on 3/16/17. There will not be a correction window for this collection.

LEAs are asked to complete the upload of the required data for these collections before the windows close. Please remember that teachers and administrators benefit from the accuracy of these data sets. These are significant time savers for your LEA staff.
