WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES 2018 - Pope Francis has chosen Ireland to host the 9th World Meeting of Families during 2018. The dates and theme of the Meeting will be announced by Pope Francis. This gathering is expected to attract thousands of Catholic families from around the globe to Ireland. It is hoped that this very special pastoral initiative will present all of us in the Church with the opportunity, and the challenge, to renew, support and strengthen Irish families in their commitment to their faith. Hosting a global event of this size requires a huge amount of planning and financial outlay on behalf of the host country. To support the hosting of the event three national collection will take place, the first of which will take place next weekend at all Masses.
