Fashion Design (I and II)

Class Rules

Turning in work:

  1. You must bring your computer to class each day, all work will by submitted by computer.
  2. All work in expected on the date it is due. If the work is not received points will be taken off for each day it is late.
  3. The title will be the name of the assignment being turned in.

(DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME IN THE TITLE)

  1. Extra credit will only be offered to boost a grade that is one to two points for the next grade. (ex: average is 79-C and you want to boost to an 80-B)
  2. No printing in bright or light colors. Only black or navy for basic written work.
  3. THERE WILL BE NO EXTRA CREDIT FOR STUDENTS REFUSING TO DO THE DAILY WORK GIVEN.

Classroom Organization and Clean-up:

  1. All items use must be put back in the proper place.
  2. All chairs must be UNDER THE TABLE before leaving.
  3. All sewing machines are to be unplugged and placed back in the storage.
  4. There will be no SEATING ON THE TABLES or PLACING FEET IN CHAIRS.
  5. No playing with the sewing machines or other notions when not sewing.
  6. Any notions (pins, tape measures, ect.) are to be place back in their storage area.
  7. If you use the irons you are expected to return them to their storage.
  8. Student will be issued a bin for their project work.
  9. A bobbin will be issued to each student on the first sewing exercise, and is to be returned at the end of the school year.(Replacement bobbins will cost$0.25).
  10. Each student will be responsible for cleaning their working area, putting up all notions and supplies.
  11. You must keep all items relating to your project in your bin
  12. The teacher will not be responsible for any patterns, pattern pieces, fabrics, threads or other notions/items that are left out by the students.
  13. You are to remain in your seats until the bell rings. NO CONGREGATING AT THE DOOR ANYTIME.

14. NO TAKING ANY SEWING PROJECT HOME DURING CONSTRUCTION.

Project Rules:

  1. All projects are to be done is class.
  2. If the project is a group, all members are expected to fully participate in the project and the elected project manager will complete an assignment form to be turned in with the completed project.
  3. Individual project are to be completed on the date stated.
  4. Each student will be required to keep a sample notebook.
