Fantasy Formula One2015
Welcome to the Fantasy Formula One 2015 Season!
All profits this year will go to the running of a Community Hall in Yaxley, Cambridgeshire – St B’s Hall, in Main Street.
The aim of the fantasy competition is to create a team that consists of two chassis and three drivers.
Your team then scores points relative to the actual Formula One Championship and the team with the most points in each race, and at the end of the Formula One season, wins!
The cost to enter the whole season is just £10, however there is no reduction for teams entered later in the year…!! Please note that teams received after a race weekend commences will receive no points for that race.
The winner of each race will win £10, and there will be larger prizes (amounts tbc as it is dependant on number of entries…!!) for the top three finishers at the end of the year.
Points for the drivers will be awarded as follows:
50-1st
40-2nd
30-3rd
25-4th
20-5th
15-6th
10-7th
25-8th
3-9th
1-10th
10-Pole Position Bonus
10-Fastest Lap Bonus
20-Winning from Pole
5- For every place gained from qualifying position
-5-For every lap the driver finishes behind the winner
The score of each Chassis will be calculated by taking the mean of the scores of its drivers.
For those of you that have played before, remember there are a few components to spice things up a little - just like the real championship!
1)Please note the extra points that 8th place receives. No reason for it… just makes you think a little more about your choice of driver(s).
2)BONUS RACE! For each team you enter, you may choose a bonus race, for which your team scores DOUBLE points.
The rules are as follows:
- You may not exceed £100 Million when building your team, but you can spend less if you wish.
- Once an entered team has been paid for, its combination of drivers, chassis and bonus race may not be had by another person. (It therefore pays to get your team in quickly!)
- If a driver is replaced mid-season, the replacement driver will score points for the original one.
- Any team dropping out of the championship, or failing to join in the championship, scores no further points, but a replacement team/driver may be selected if the fantasy combination has not already been already taken.
- The judges’ decision is final.
There is no limit to the number of teams one person may have or when they join the competition, but previous races will not be included in their points total. The more teams you have, the greater your chance of winning!
To enter a team, simply fill in the attached form with two chassis, three drivers and your bonus race, and return to me by email at , however, if you are entering a team between 4th February and 4th March, please email to . Only teams received on/before 12th March 2015 will be included in the first race, but teams can be entered at any time during the year, but only score points in subsequent races…!!.
