Fall Planning for Spring Implementation:

Task: / Complete by:
Step 1: / Meet with Brenda to discuss CBL placement options / Last week of July
Step 2: / Submit CBL Course Proposal Form to CCE Faculty Associates / 2nd week of August
Step 3: / Submit “New Course” Proposal to Academic Affairs (if necessary) / Registrar Deadline
Step 4: / Submit Course for Course Schedule / Registrar Deadline

NOTE: There are existing CBL partnerships the CCE office has available to choose from for placements. If a faculty member needs to secure a placement site outside of what’s available, the faculty member should:

 Understand that he or she will be responsible for all correspondence and associated logistics of maintaining the relationship with the Community Partner and CBL placement site. The faculty member should not guarantee the Community Partner any services outside the duration of the course. In other words, the Community Partner should understand that the service the students are providing will only be available during the semester the course is being offered.

 Initiate contact by mid-October with respective Community Partner(s)

 Submit final confirmation of placement site: contact person, address, email, program/project needs, and preferred day(s)/time(s) by first week in January to Brenda Papineau via email to

 Understand that Brenda will generate a “Placement Preference Form” and send to faculty during the second week of January for review

 Return “Placement Preference Form” to Brenda by third week of January
