2. Learnings from 2009 workshop

o Would like more variation in the food.
o Room sizes were adequate, but could they expand if we need to?
o Pleased by the number of Operating Company attendees.
o One person had to stay in a different hotel.

o Need to better advertize the reception.
o Have a poster with all events listed.
o Have a handout when you check in to the hotel.
o Also send an e-mail to all attendees in advance of the meeting.
- Bill Holmes
o The screen in the presentation room was too low to be seen from the back.
o The room was a little small for the number of attendees.
o Possibly have two screens in the room.
o Possibly look at a different hotel.
- Justin Conyers
o Was pleased the room for his course.
- Mike Brock
o We reached a different crowd.
o The vendors liked this.
o Would like for each speaker to have a lapel mike.
o Next year try to have a presentation on shale gas.

o Liked to have Field Foreman attend the meeting.
o The Keynote Speaker could have been better.
- Lynn Rowlan
o Place the presentations on the ALRDC computer. There were problems with Cleon Dunham’s computer. PowerPoint kept hanging up.
o Liked this venue better than Houston.
o Should stay away from West Texas since they already have other meetings there.
o Need snacks at all of the breaks.
- Norm Hein
o Would be good to include more on design of horizontals, gassy wells, and heavy oil.
o Make this into a two-day design course.
o Include more breaks, maybe two fifteen minute breaks.
o Maybe start earlier in the morning.
o May be a problem to squeeze in more Exhibitors.
o Should we look at rotating the venue for the meeting?

o Need to work harder to obtain good presentations.
o Have each member on the Steering Committee try to obtain at least one presentation.
o Look into forming two-day courses for next year.

3. Workshop dates
· Should we plan for a Sucker Rod Pumping System Workshop in 2010?
· If yes, when?
· If no, should we consider having one every other year, so in 2011, 2013, etc.?

- If no, should we have one every other year, e.g. in 2011, 2013 etc.
- We all agree with having a Sucker Rod Pumping Workshop in 2010.
- We agree to target for the 2nd week of September, 14 – 17, 2010.
- We need to extend the pre-registration deadline to closer to the meeting time.

- Are the dates of Sept. 14 – 17, 2010 OK with everyone, and with the hotel?- Is there any problem with extending the registration date to closer to the meeting date?
- The dates of Sept. 14 – 17, 2010 are all set with the hotel.
- We’re still waiting on receiving contract from the hotel.

- Ronda Brewer. Do we have a contract with the Wyndham Hotel for the 2010 Workshop?- The dates and rooms are agreed with the Hotel, but we still don’t have the actual contract with them.

4. Workshop venue and registrations

- Where should the Workshop be held?- We agree to have the 2010 Workshop in the DFW area.
- We agree to keep the meeting at this hotel if some of the issues mentioned above can be addressed.
