The Awards
The Fairford & Lechlade Business Club Annual Awards are designed to recognise businesses’ excellence and achievements during the previous year up to January 2018.
Businesses entering the Awards should either be members of the Fairford & Lechlade Business Club or located in the GL7, GL54, SN6, SN7 or OX18 postcode areas. We welcome entries from all types of company or organisation, whatever the nature or size of your business. You can either enter your own business or nominate someone else.

The Categories
We are retaining the four main categories below as well as the Outstanding Business Student chosen from the Year 10 Business Students at Farmor’s School and The Howard Dowler Award. The winner of this final award will be chosen by the Chair, and presented to an individual or business that has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the local community and is a current member of the FLBC.

- Business Person of the Year
- New Business of the Year
- Most Innovative Business of the Year
Other Categories
The following categories are special Awards:
- The Most Outstanding Business Student of the Year
The winner of this Award will be chosen from Year 10 Business Students attending Farmor’s School, Fairford.
- The Bob Warren Hospitality Award
This Award has been set up in memory of Bob Warren, landlord of the Trout Inn, Lechlade and long-time supporter of the FLBClub. A list of nominations for this award will be communicated by the FLBClub through email, the website and social media channels. Business club members and local residents will be asked to vote for the hospitality venue (café, pub, restaurant, B&B or hotel etc) that best demonstrates the spirit of Bob Warren - great hospitality, excellent customer service, a warm and friendly atmosphere and provides afantastic all roundexperience. You will be able to vote for up to three venues. The venue with the most votes will be presented with the inaugural Award.Last year’s winner will not be eligible this year.
- The Howard Dowler Award
This Award will be chosen by the Chair of the FLBClub and presented to the person or business that has made an outstanding contribution to the local community.
Why Should You Enter?
The winners will receive a beautifully framed certificate, celebrating their achievement as well as FREE membership of the Business Club for a year!
Awards will be presented at a Gala Dinner at Cotswold Hoburne, South Cerney on Saturday 27th January 2018. Here you will be able to network with the judges and other winners, spreading the word about your award winning business!
Furthermore, winning an award will impress your all important clients and potential customers as well as making your employees proud! Local media will cover this event.
Entries for the four main categories are by way of a completed entry form. The closing date for submissions is 12 noon on Sunday 31st December 2017.
