Position

We are searching for a faculty member for our [fill in blank]. The successful candidate will teach courses [indicate undergraduate or graduate level if applicable], provide academic advisement to students, engage in scholarly activity [as appropriate to the discipline] and research [describe expectations for productivity in this area as applicable], and engage in university service. Assignment to a course housed at the CSUF Irvine Campus is a possible condition of employment.

Qualifications

  • Must have a doctorate in[discipline(s) field [or a discipline/field related to specializations]. NOTE: If doctorate is not the discipline’s terminal degree, list required degree such as MFA, MA/MS] in addition to supplemental experience criteria
  • Must be qualified to teach courses such as X, Y and Z [list core course assigned to this specific position].
  • Must have the ability to interact successfully within a multicultural environment, and work harmoniously with students, colleagues and the community.
  • Evidence of or strong potential for effectiveness in research and teaching.
  • Optional: Include appropriate work experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities essential for successful performance of primary duties and/or list sub-specialties as well as background that are given a particular value in the screening process that are required/desired/preferred [select terms that reflect the screening practice].

Rank & Salary
This is a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary is competitive and commensurate to rank, experience and qualifications. Periodic salary adjustments are enacted by the state legislature.
