The hard copy of the Application Form should be delivered to Charles University by the end of June 2012 (for the Winter Semester and full year 2012/13 nominees) or by the middle of November 2012 (valid for summer semester 2012/13 nominees) to the European Office.
English Language Requirements
It is assumed that applicants will have a sufficient knowledge of English to attend classes and write papers in the English language. Students who are not native speakers may be asked to demonstrate their ability to study in English, e.g. by presenting the results of any language tests they have taken. Although we welcome TOEFL and IELTS, they are not necessarily a condition of entry. A real ability to study in English is more important.
Orientation week
The Faculty of Social Sciences will be running an Orientation Program for incoming students in Winter and Summer Semesters 2012/13. This program is designed specially for the incoming students in order to take care of many of the practical arrangements relating to studies (registration, student travel passes, access to Charles University libraries, etc.).
Terms:
Winter Semester: 24th September - 30th September 2012
Summer Semester: 11th February - 17th February 2013
International Students Club:
Members of the Club first meet the students during the Orientation Week and guide them around not only through the necessary academic arrangements but also organize excursions, student parties, “buddy programs” and many other cultural activities.
